In April 1999, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Zurich successfully attained ISO standard 9001/14001 certification from the SQS. The environmental management system is one of the first in Europe in the hotel industry. To enable us to achieve our quality and environmental targets, we operate an effective, economical management system in accordance with ISO 9001/14001 standards. Quality concerns all members of staff and functions in the company, as well as the entire product life-cycle (from our suppliers to product disposal).

As a member of the Energy Agency of Economy, the Crowne Plaza Zurich contributes to the reduction of the CO2 emission and the improvement of the global energy efficiency. The EnAW has been founded in 1999 in order to support the energy and climate political goals of the federation. The member companies have already reduced their CO2 emissions by 25 %.

The environmental management system is an integral component of the management system as a whole and is regularly checked as part of this system.
